Hi, friends! I hope you’re having an amazing start to your week so far. Lately on the blog, we’ve been discussing fall wardrobe essentials with most being clothing pieces. However, we really haven’t dove into must-have shoes for the fall and winter seasons. Today, I’m sharing five new pairs of shoes I recently bought for fall and why each is good to have in your wardrobe for the cooler months of the year.

The first of the five shoes I recently bought that I want to share with you today are the Rothy’s Driver Shoe. Personally, I didn’t find some of their other styles suit my personal style, but putting on The Driver was like putting on a glass slipper. It’s absolute perfection and so my style!
Rothy’s is a sustainable shoe brand, with the environment being at the heart of everything they do. Aiming for zero waste, Rothy’s uses recycled, natural or renewable materials to make their products. They even have a shoe recycling program where you can bring your old Rothy’s shoes to any Rothy’s retailer store to be recycled, and they will repurpose the materials into something else.
I initially bought the blue color, which is fun for spring and summer. But immediately wished I had gotten a lighter, more neutral color to wear year-round. Before the trip to Italy, one of the gals that was coming from the U.S. offered to bring anything I may want. So I asked if she could squeeze the Rothy’s in by chance, and she did! So grateful as I have worn these so much lately.
They’re the perfect everyday shoe that are easy to slip on and are super comfortable. I love the raised nubs that give them a designer look. This style comes in over 10 color combinations, and they are machine washable. This is one of my favorite aspects about Rothy’s because you typically can’t machine wash shoes. Also, just to note, I found that these run true to size.
And, this new pair hasn’t rubbed the back of my heel but my blue pair did, so I used a product like THIS to help prevent friction and blisters.
Gianvito Rossi Ribbon 85 Buckled Suede Knee Boots

The next shoe in my must-have shoes for fall that I recently purchased are the Gianvito Rossi Ribbon 85 Buckled Suede Knee Boots [UK Version]. A quality pair of knee-high boots are perfect for pairing with any outfit from skinny jeans to straight jeans, dresses and skirts.
Did I mention that Kate Middleton is a big fan of this brand? She loves their pumps! I love the beautiful suede detailing of these boots, and am always draw to suede. I think it adds a beautiful texture to your cozy outfits this time of year. The subtle detail of the buckle around the ankle adds the perfect finishing touch.
They’re ultra-chic and incredibly comfortable thanks to the expert craftsmanship that Gianvito Rossi always has as well as the block heel. They’re obviously an investment, but I do tend to make larger investments in footwear as I walk a lot when I’m out, and I’m so close to London.
This design comes in a tan suede and black leather as well, and recommend going up a half size to allow room for warm socks.

The third pair of shoes I recently bought this year are the Sorel Explorer boots. I bought these to have a warm and sturdy footwear option for hiking in the Lake District. And boy did they withstand the terrain. My feet felt warm and comfortable hiking the trails, and best of all, my feet stayed DRY!
Sorel boots are made with a thick insulated lining, amazing traction on the bottom and a tough exterior like wind and water resistant. They’re a dream to wear because they hold up to the weather elements and are stylish to wear.
This particular pair that I purchased has a faux fur inside to keep your feet extra toasty. I always go up half a size in their shoes. But always check reviews before purchasing. I went up half a size in this particular pair, and it made wearing my tried and true outdoor socks by Smartwool super easy.
UGG Tasman Slipper

The next shoe that I recently bought isn’t necessarily a “must-have” but it’s certainly NICE to have. If you have wood flooring or something besides carpet, it’s nice to have warm and cozy slippers to slip into to keep your feet warm around the house. These Ugg slippers have a thick sole on the bottom, should you need to go outside for something with these on.
I’d seen these everywhere last year, and tried to resist them. But ultimately kept on thinking about these. I thought they looked so cute and perfect for running things out to the trash or walking over to Louie’s nursery for pick-up.
These come in seven total colors, and run a bit small. I’d suggest sizing up a half size. Because they’re UGGs, they’re super warm, and I always feel like UGG’s stand the test of time
Are you wanting to get your holiday shopping knocked out early? These make great gift ideas for that someone who is really hard to buy for.

Last but not least, the Veja Impala sneaker is the last of the five new pairs of shoes I purchased. Like the Rothy’s, these are another great everyday shoe. You can pair them with jeans and a plain tee or with athletic attire. These are a true lightweight trainer, so they’re for the gym but look just as cute with jeans.
I fell in love with these instantly. They are my favorite type of sneaker that literally look like skin as they hug your foot so tight. The only way I can explain their comfort level is similar to what you might think clouds feel like walking on.
These Veja Impala sneakers run small, and I’d suggest going up one whole size. I wear a 6.5 in US / 37 in European, so I got a 38. They fit perfect!
You truly do not need a closet full of shoes to have a well rounded collection of shoes. You just need the right types, so there aren’t any gaps when it comes to footwear.
