It’s a privilege to be able to deliver services in and around someone’s home. Many businesses do it, but people are naturally protective of their homes, so it’s important that your business is trustworthy. If you can’t present your business as one that can be trusted, you’re likely to find that it’s difficult to get clients as a moving company. You need to let clients know that your company can be trusted and that they can rely on you. You can use a number of different methods to do that, offering visual and other signs that you strive to make your business a responsible one.

Provide Excellent Staff Training

Training your staff properly is a must if you want to create a trustworthy domestic business. Your employees will be representing you when they carry out work in people’s homes, and you don’t want them to let you down. Start by defining your business’s values and how you expect your employees to behave when they’re delivering your services. Make sure that they receive the right training not just on how to do their jobs but also on how to provide good customer service and treat clients in the right way. Monitor their performance to ensure they’re all fulfilling your requirements too.

Reassure Your Clients

There are lots of ways you can provide reassurance to your clients and let them know that you can be trusted. You can start by being clear about what qualifies your business to carry out the work they can hire you for. For example, you might let them know that your business is insured and licensed, or that you’re a member of a professional body. Give them information about the training and experience that your employees have so they know what they can expect. Be available to answer questions that your clients might have.

Make Your Staff and Vehicles Recognizable

People need to know that they’re letting the right people into their homes. That’s why it’s important to make your vehicles and your employees recognizable. If you don’t already have a good logo to use on vehicles or uniforms, get a startup logo maker to develop one for you. You can print your logo on the side of your vans or trucks, as well as have your employees wear uniforms in your brand colors with your logo. Another good idea is to include employee profiles on your website to make them more recognizable.

Take Concerns Seriously

If your customers ever have any concerns about your employees or the work that they have carried out, it’s important to take them seriously. Having a complaints process is essential if you want to make sure you deal with any problems in a sensible way. Listen to your clients if they say that an employee has acted inappropriately or that work hasn’t been carried out to a high quality, but make sure you carry out a thorough investigation too.

It’s important to be trustworthy if your business provides services in people’s homes. Your business should not only present as trustworthy but also follow through.
