This year, I’m really being intentional with our gifting, especially for the kids (who literally have more than we could ever possibly need- well, we all do)! I find myself thinking over and over, “If the sheer amount of STUFF they have is stressing ME out, how can I expect it to not stress THEM out as well?!” THUS, we are definitely being mindful of our gifting and choosing a few things they want, need, practical things like clothing and shoes, and some books. You know the old adage “something you want, something you need, something to wear, and something to read.”
With that said, here is my gift guide for kids, which includes all of the things that we personally have and are all very well-loved by my kids (ages 3-8), and a few things that are on my own kid’s lists this year. We love open-ended toys that require more than just mindlessly pushing buttons, that require imagination, skill and a lot of fun! Think: blocks, Magnatiles, puzzles, books. I hope you find this list helpful, and find a few great ideas for your own kiddos! 🙂 Scroll down for lots more ideas!!
