I’m off to Lisbon tonight! Huzzah! I’m excited but I would also be lying if I didn’t admit it gets harder every time I have to say goodbye to June. 😭 But I know as soon as I get to the airport I will be fine! I cannot WAIT to get there and let the #AtlasAdventuresLisbon adventures begin!
As promised, here is what I’m bringing with me for the next 6 nights! This isn’t QUITE everything, as there are a couple other things I’m bringing (that aren’t linkable as I’ve owned them for years, so they aren’t on this list!) but, you get the gist!
We’re expecting incredible weather when we’re there–highs in the mid seventies and 80’s, lows in the 60’s! That being said, this is really more of a summer packing list than a fall one, BUT, many of these pieces are perfect for fall weather, too when styled with more layers, fall footwear, etc. So wherever you’re going this fall and whatever the weather, hope you find some inspo on this list!
Lisbon in October Packing List
Dresses:
1. Floral smocked maxi dress:
I first found this dress when I was searching for fall photo outfit ideas and thought it was so pretty! It looks so cute with booties but I plan to wear it in Lisbon with my sneakers (also linked below!) As you’ll notice with pretty much everything on this list is that it’s easy to transition from day to night–and will look cute dressed up with a belt and sandals for dinner!
2. Madewell denim puff sleeve dress:
I got this dress earlier this summer and it’s perfect for warmer or slightly chillier weather! I plan to wear it with sneakers and it’s great for exploring during the day or night.
3. Amazon ruffle maxi dress:
This dress comes in multiple pretty color ways and the pattern is darling. I also love the ruffle details on the body, and it’s super lightweight, so great for hot weather, but will look cute with a sweater and booties to wear when I get back to Chicago, too! TTS, I got a small.
4. Amazon floral maxi:
This might be my favorite of the bunch. The style and pattern really give me Sezane vibes! Will look cute with the sneakers and sandals I’m bringing on my trip, but also looks so pretty with boots for chilly fall weather, too! Very loose and flowy + oversized. I got a small, but probably could’ve gone with XS.
Also adding my: Elisamama “Elisa” maxi dress! (I just saw she still has a few in stock!) See details on that dress in this post!
Tops:
5. White button-down:
A white button down is something I rarely travel without, no matter what the weather! This will be perfect for mid-seventies weather styled with jean shorts and sneakers, or if it’s a little chillier, will look cute with my wide leg white jeans. (I love a white on white look!) TTS, I have size small.
6. Black puff-sleeve top:
The one I’m bringing is old, but this one is similar! Comfy but the dramatic sleeve and black color are cute for dressing up at night!
7. Madewell knit tank + cardigan set:
I love each of these styled separately, or together. I’m envisioning wearing the cardi tied around my shoulders in case it gets chilly in the shade, along with jean shorts (or jeans) and sneakers. I believe I got an XS in the tank and S in cardigan!
8. Faherty Willa Top:
This has also become a travel staple for me because it’s lightweight, so it’s cool in warm weather, but the long sleeves give you coverage on chillier nights. I love the feminine details so much–and it looks cute with anything you pair with it! TTS, I have small.
9. J.Crew tank:
I love this tank because it looks like a bodysuit but isn’t! I ordered my regular size small but could’ve gone down one more size for a more fitted look.
Jacket:
Bringing two jackets as I’m anticipating that it will get slightly chilly at night when the sun goes down.
10. ABLE Bailey jacket:
(25% off through Sunday with code JESSKEYSANNI25. Details here!) The cutest classic jean jacket in the softest denim!
11. ABLE leather jacket:
My favorite leather jacket, in black. Reviewed over here!
Bottoms:
12. Parker long jean shorts:
My favorite go-to jean shorts. I order my regular size 26.
13. Madewell wide leg white cropped jeans:
I love these jeans so much–they’re so comfy and so chic! TTS, I take 26
14. Parker long jean shorts in white:
Same as above, but in white. The best white jean shorts!
Shoes:
15. Eda D’Orsay Sneaker:
My favorite warm weather white sneaker! So comfy, so chic–the d’Orsay detail makes the feminine and easy to pair with any dress. Code JESSKEYS15 gets you 15% off!
16. Madewell Addie Sandal:
Brought this on my last trip and they’re so comfy they won a spot in my suitcase for round two! FYI the sizing is odd, make sure to read the reviews as they run long!
Bags, Accessories, etc!
17. Silk scarves and bandanas (for hair and neck:)
I LOVE Madewell’s bandanas, they have so many cute ones and make the best accessory to spice up an otherwise simple outfit. (Note, they’re small, so may not work to tie around your head like a headband, but they are cute for around the neck!) If you want one to wear in your hair, you’ll want a square scarf that’s about 35″ x 35″ (see more on how to tie a hair scarf in this post!) Honestly almost all my scarves are vintage or picked up in local markets when I travel, but if you’re looking for a budget friendly version, I also have this one from Amazon that is super cute! (See my neck scarf tying tutorial here.)
18. Brown statement belt:
Sometimes a pretty belt is all you need to spice up an outfit! I highly recommend the Carolina belt from ABLE which I’m bringing to wear with my dresses!
19. Converter with USB:
This one has multiple plug-ins and includes USB slots as well!
20. ABLE ALEM leather backpack:
I used this as my personal item–fits my laptop, DSLR camera, big scarf, and everything I might need on the plane! See my review here!
Plus, other favorite ABLE bags (they pack flat, so can several in my suitcase–I TOTALLY forgot to include these in the collage, oops. 😆):
Abera backpack purse (my go-to travel daytime purse because it fits a ton but still hands-free!), the Karla Belt Bag, and the Delilah belt bag! (All reviewed in this post!)
21. Delsey Paris Chatalet 21″ suitcase:
I am a HUGE Delsey suitcase fan and have been using their Paris Chatalet suitcases for years. I have the carry-on in white and the 24″ roller bag in brown, and Neal also has the carry-on in brown. (Definitely go with a dark color for checked luggage so it doesn’t get scraped up!) Super cute, roomy, and almost always discounted on Amazon! If we’re being honest I’m actually stealing Neal’s this trip because his was already upstairs and I didn’t want to go into the dungeon garage to get mine. 😂
22. These toiletry bottles:
I love these little squeezable bottles, plus, they’re super easy to fill! Great for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, etc!
23. Clear travel pouches:
I needed some new travel pouches and I LOVE these! I’m a big fan of the clear pouch so you can see exactly what is in each bag and where things are! I use these for my makeup and toiletries.
And a couple other random things…
24. Blister bandages:
I do not travel anywhere without blister bandages. There are several brands that make them–Compeed is the OG, but they sell cheaper versions on Amazon! They are GAME CHANGERS! Not like regular band-aids–can help with blister prevention and prevent rubbing on already formed blisters.
25. Sea bands:
Motion sickness bands that are a game-changer and must-have for me. We’ll be taking a bus to Colares one day (not to mention taking cabs/ubers, all of which always make me motion sick!) and these little acupressure bands really help!
I hope this is helpful–hope you have a fabulous weekend, and make sure to follow along on my Lisbon trip on Instagram @jesskeys_
