For some reason, we spend five days a week at work and two days a week relaxing, but even in those two days a week, we spend our time going from appointment to appointment and getting a house admin in order. You’ll be able to tackle the week feeling happier and much more relaxed if you go and get a massage, get your hair done, or simply get a pedicure.
Catch up with your friends.
Making a plan for lunch with your friends or even a brunch on Sunday morning will pick up your weekend. Do you want to have fun, so instead of just going for brunch, head to an escape room and do something fun with them afterward? That social element that takes you away from the people you see all the time at work and gets you out with the people you love the most will impact mental health positively.
Say no to some jobs.
There is nothing wrong with turning down some DIY. Yes, the weekend is designed for you to get things done for your house, but you don’t have to re-plumb the bathroom or repaint the walls if you don’t want to. Get out of your routine.

Your hobby can be anything from photography to cheesemaking, you just have to find the thing that works for you.
Join in with a sport.
Whether you join a soccer group or you head out for a trial with an American football team, you’ll be able to join us at any time you want, and you can use your time at the weekend to get fit. It’s one of the best ways to burn off some frustration that you might have felt from the working week, and it can help you push your body and mind when you know that you have something to look forward to.
