“The making of “OH!” was so amazing and fluid,” Aqyila says. “That’s the beauty of music, when you hear a song and you’re able to connect it to memory, it means even more to you. I love when a song tells a story.”
“OH!” was recorded during the Tiktok-celebrated singer’s second trip to Los Angeles after signing with Sony Music Canada.
“This song is going to showcase my vocal range, which is exciting as I am a fan of a good riff and run,” she explained. “This song was produced by Phinisey and written by the talented Trey Campbell during my second Los Angeles trip!”
Aqyila collaborated with penmen Trey Campbell (Ella Mai, HER, Giveon, John Legend) and producer Phinisey (Jessie Reyez, Qveen Herby) on this record.
