Bengal Warriors lost against Puneri Paltan.
Puneri Paltan defeated Bengal Warriors 27-25 on Friday at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru to complete a hat-trick of victories in the ninth season of the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League. With six tackle points and five points from the raid, captain Fazel Atrachali set the pace. Aslam Inamdar contributed five points.
The Bengal Warriors took the lead at 6-5 in the sixth minute thanks to a couple of raids that Maninder Singh orchestrated. But shortly after, Maninder was tackled by Fazel Atrachali, tying the game at 6-6.
In the 14th minute, the Warriors were about to go all out when defender Girish Maruti Ernak and all-arounder Manoj Gowda saved the day and helped his team grab the lead at 12-9. Aslam Inamdar struggled to penetrate the Warriors’ defense as the Bengali team held a 15-11 lead at the break.
In the second half, Puneri Paltan played with more vigor, but the Warriors were able to maintain their lead at 17-15 in the 27th minute. To tie the game at 17-17, Sombir tackled Shrikant Jadhav, and shortly after, Akash Shinde pulled off a raid.
Before the Puneri Paltan attacked Rohit to cause an ALL-OUT and establish a commanding lead of 24-20, both teams continued trading scores.

Dabang Delhi defeats Patna Pirates 37-33.
Neeraj Kumar (4 points) and Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh (3 points), who played outstanding defense in the second half, enabled Patna Pirates to defeat Dabang Delhi KC for the first time this season. On Friday in Bengaluru at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, the Pirates triumphed 37-33 in the final game of the evening.
The game, which included many of the same protagonists from the previous year’s final, delivered on its promise of fast-paced action. Naveen Kumar, the captain of Dabang Delhi, eliminated Chiyaneh, the top defender for the Pirates, in the opening raid of the game.
The Pirates lost their two best players on the mat as soon as his opposing number, Sachin, was exposed. They soon found themselves facing an early ALL OUT until Rohit Gulia produced a SUPER RAID to bring them even.
It was an unexpected revival that lasted long enough to thoroughly confuse Delhi. They were soon gazing at the bottom of the barrel after Naveen was tackled early and just Manjeet and Krishan remained on the mat. However, Manjeet and Krishan combined for two consecutive SUPER TACKLES to not only keep Dabang in the game but also grab a slight lead.
Neeraj Kumar, Manish, and Sunil, three pirates, were drawn wide in front by Ashu Malik’s SUPER RAID, which caught them off guard. Dabang obtained the game’s first ALL-OUT almost immediately before halftime, leading comfortably 20-12 at the break.
Chiyaneh and Rohit Gulia were crucial to the Pirates’ comeback at the two ends of the mat as they went into the second half as a completely different team. In addition to consistently chipping away at the Dabang advantage with their raids, Gulia’s flawless defense prevented Delhi from scoring a single point throughout the opening five minutes of the half.
Strong resistance and an additional SUPER TACKLE managed to keep Delhi alive, but eventually, the Pirates managed to score an ALL OUT of their own to tie the game at 24.
Off that point on, the Pirates did not let up, and despite Delhi’s desperate defensive efforts and ability to keep the score close, the Pirates had exacted revenge in the best way imaginable due to Naveen Kumar’s absence from the mat for more than a quarter of the match. With only a few seconds left, another ALL OUT was called as the Pirates secured their first victory of the year.
