Hitman
“Top Gun: Maverick” star Glen Powell has posted a behind-the-scenes image of himself, Adria Arjona and director Richard Linklater on the later’s film “Hitman” which has begun filming in New Orleans.
Based on a true story, Powell plays a Houston cop who works undercover as a hitman. One day he ditches his ‘side’ work to help a woman (Arjona) escape her abusive boyfriend. Powell also co-wrote the script. [Source: Twitter]
Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.01 Thrice Upon a Time
GKIDS has announced the official dates for the North American theatrical run of “Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.01 Thrice Upon a Time”. The film will first launch in exclusive IMAX screenings on November 30th.
It will then release in select theaters on December 6th, 8th and 11th. Tickets for all four dates will be available starting on November 2nd through the GKIDS website and at participating theater box offices. [Source: GKIDS]
Buffalo Rangers
Bruce McKenna (“Band of Brothers”), David Broyles (“Six”) and Nick Jones Jr. (“Yasuke”) are teaming to write and produce the limited TV series “Buffalo Rangers” for Moving Pictures Company.
The series deals with the 2nd Ranger Company, the only all-Black special operations combat unit in U.S. history who were notable for their efforts in the Korean War. The small group managed to hold off an attack of over a thousand Chinese infantry at Hill 581. [Source: Variety]
Enola Holmes 2
Netflix has released a first clip for its forthcoming mystery adventure “Enola Holmes 2” starring Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill. the film launches on the service on November 4th.
In the clip, Brown’s teen detective faces one of the biggest challenges of her investigation: she must be able to dance in order to get the information she needs and enlists her old friend Tewkesbury’s help.
